Today we surprised Mrs. Jobe and Ms. Sibrel with a special scavenger hunt to show our appreciation for everything they do. Our amazing Instructional and Behavior Coaches support our teachers every single day and help keep our school running smoothly.
Thank you for your dedication, encouragement, and endless support! We couldn't do it without you! 💙

🎨 Art Class Update! 🍟
In Art, we continued our lesson on lines today by making French fries - aka "Fry-days!!" The kids took it to another level, creating ketchup bottles and even chicken nuggets!
Meanwhile, Mrs. Parker's class has been working on wax resist techniques and lines.
So much creativity happening in our art room!

🌟 Learning from the Best! 🌟
Our Dreaming Summit Elementary teachers hit the road yesterday to visit three amazing Leader in Me schools in our district - Barbara Robey, Rancho, and Verrado Heritage!
It was incredible to see firsthand all the innovative ways these schools are building student leadership and empowering their young leaders. From student-led lighthouse teams to leadership notebooks, our teachers came back inspired and ready to bring these ideas to life as we begin our own Leader in Me journey!
Thank you to all three schools for opening your doors and sharing your wisdom with us. The collaboration and support within our district is truly something special!

Our incredible teaching team spent today diving deep into what matters most - supporting our students! We explored powerful instructional strategies, learned cutting-edge technology integration skills, focused on meaningful goal setting, and strengthened our universal supports to meet every learner's needs.
But the best part? We're truly "Sharpening the Saw" by taking care of ourselves too! 🐶💕 A special visit from some adorable therapy puppies reminded us that recharging and finding joy is essential to being our best selves for our students.
When teachers invest in their growth and well-being, our students benefit immensely. Today was all about building our toolkit, collaborating as a team, and remembering why we love what we do.
Ready to bring fresh energy, new strategies, and renewed passion back to our classrooms! Our Dreaming Summit students are in for an amazing year! ✨

Help our Kindergartens learn their Colors!

Our amazing students put on their engineering hats and worked together to save Fred the gummy worm who was "trapped" under his overturned boat (cup) with his life preserver (life saver candy) just out of reach. The challenge? They could only use paper clips as tools!
Watching these young problem-solvers collaborate, think critically, and persist through trial and error was absolutely incredible. Some groups figured out creative ways to flip the boat, while others found ingenious methods to get Fred his life preserver. The excitement and "aha!" moments were priceless!
Way to go, future engineers and scientists!
